2008 Cobalt SS?

>does anyone know if Chevrolet is planning on a convertible Cobalt? I want to get the SS supercharged version, but if there is any type of plan for a convertible then I can wait. I need something that gets better mileage than my truck and its 17mpg

No plans for a Vert but the Cobalt will get a mid cycle refresh and the SS will get a turbo 2.0 DI Ecotec in 2009.

I seriously doubt the LNF will end up in the SS.

Why? That is what is happening. The engine has already been testing in HHR SSs.

I'm pretty sure GM outright said they were going to do that a few times.

They'd have to be absolute idiots not to put the LNF's in there though since they've stopped making LSQ's.

>the best quote I've seen is "any car can be an SS , but only a Camaro can be a Z28"

The LSJ stage kits made more power then the LNF. Doesnt make any sense, as the LNF is a nightmare compared to the LSJ as far as modding, and GM has tons of factory support for the LSJ. The LNF's pcm hasnt even been cracked completely. -_-

I like it...but the SS is the ultimate Camaro and that badge was only meant for muscle cars. Now even the HHR is gonna be an SS....They gave the Malibu Maxx the SS badge WTF?! The only 3 models that aren't SS's are the Equinox and the Uplander and the Tahoe as far as I know. Every car has it..

I know people say the Z28 will always be Camaro and use it as a superior badge but...Z24 will always be a Cavalier, Z26 will always be a Beretta and a Z34 will always be a Lumina, so it's not like the "Z" name is godlike

Pretty sure if you do a search in the Future Vehicles Forum on the site you'll find a writeup of Chevy's switch to the turbo'ed Ecotec on future models.
