2007 chevy trailblazer
Save up for the new GMC Acadia, it will be a much better vehicle.
2007 Tahoe with the 5.3L gets better mileage than the 6 cyl. TrailBlazer Ext. (16/21 vs. 15/20) and seats the same amount of people.

I was just curious why they discontinued the 3rd row seating i really like the trailblazers but wanted 3rd row for the extra seating capacity, I like the looks of the acadia but i want a true truck based suv not a crossover. I can not afford the price of the tahoe although i would by one over any suv on the road. Does anyone know what will replace the trailblazer/envoy and when? Guess i will have to look outside of gm for my next mid size suv.

Go take a look at the GMC Acadia or the Saturn Outlook........both offer third row seating......great vehicles.......lightyears ahead of the TrailBlazer platform.
If you REALLY want a TrailBlazer EXT, there are probably some still in stock around the country-- go visit your local Chevy dealer and ask him to do a 'locate'
But then again, if GM isn't going to do anything to keep them competitive, I'm not so sure it's a good idea to let the 360s just stagnate and look like jokes in the marketplace. GM has enough image problems without trying to sell vehicles well past their 'best before' dates.
As for the Lamdas taking over this spot in the market, well, they're bigger, they're not BOF, they're FWD based, and they have a smaller engine (for now). They may not reach as much of the same markets as GM would like.
Midsized BOF SUV is still a large segment to just completely walk away from. Especially since GM finally took leadership of the segment after spending the first decade or so playing second (or third, or fourth) fiddle to the competition.

Lots of folks here in the upper Midwest are like my wife... want the truck for the ability to haul stuff, and go through any weather (not that we've had much of a winter the last few years :-(. An AWD Lambda can do just that, and get far better than the 13-16 mpg my wife's Envoy gets with "winter blend" fuel...
