2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 COUPE


I want one!

 

I think it looks a lot like the previous model.

 

Viper just got a redesign for 2003 MY...i assume this is just a freshening? And it's still 500HP...

Oh nevermind...they are simply offering a coupe this year. Woop

 

Those power numbers are wrong. I am pretty sure that it is suppose to get a 50hp bump to 550, from what I heard.

is it me or does the rearend look 4th gen Camaro to you? lol

 

It should look a lot like the previous gen Viper because that's where it came from.

it has what looks like trunk lid and the shaping of the lights look 4th gen...looks really nice...the car was totally reskinned not just the front...

Nah, I'm waiting for the cheaper Chrysler Firepower!

 

Will they actually release it? I bet its still going to be about $50k though.. around Vette territory..

 

Before the Chrysler 300C, I would have said that the Chrysler Firepower! didn't have a chance. Today, times have changed at DCX and I think the answer a definite "maybe." The price escalation of the C6 Corvette has also made a potential competitor a lot more viable. Chrysler wouldn't have considered producing a "Corvette competitor" if a loaded C6 coupe wasn't pushing $55,000!!!

Chrysler finally has the right engine, the right transmission, and they've also got the low-volume production capacity. (With the Prowler long gone and the Viper's sales sagging, Chrysler's got plenty of low-volume production capacity.) Only two developments are surefire Firepower! killers:

1. Skyrocketing sales of the new $85K Viper coupe could soak up all of that excess capacity. (It's not going to happen.)

2. GM could slash $5,000 from the MSRP of the C6, restoring the sub-$40K base Corvette and discouraging Daimler-Chrysler from authorizing the Firepower!(It's not going to happen.)

 

I recall reading the tail lights on the new coupe are from the GTS. And yeah, I can see some similarities to a fourth gen Camaro.

 

Thats why it looks good again


Now they just need to sh*tcan that V10 for a Hemi so I dont have to cover my ears when one goes by

 

think it looks alot like the 97-99 or whatever years....they looked badass and this one looks even better

 

I sure like the coupes better than the verts......cleaner and slicker looking......
