I think it is 1000 times better looking than Aztek. I think it is very tasteful. My only concern is that they didn't do nearly as much to differentiate Torrent from Equinox as they did to differentiate Equinox from VUE...

 

That doesn't look like a Z28 to me.

 

I like this alot better than equinox, however as stated in other forum, the trim levels better be up to other brands, and the engine should have more power.

GM, If you are going to rebadge, at least give the "performance divisions" version a perfformance engine. 245HP 3.9L would have been sweet.

 

They didnt even go with a 3.5...they kept the lump of crap 3.4.

 

I think the 3.9 should be showing up pretty damn soon, right? Regardless, I like it. Maybe a little more differentiation will be in the final version...I am reasonably confident the car will at least have a different dash. Hey, complaining that it looks like a Equinox is better than complaining it looks like the Aztek

It may not be perfect, but right now I'll settle for it being a sh!tload better, thanks. If it takes off I am sure performance models will come to better integrate it into Pontiac. For now, I don't think Pontiac is even sure how well it will sell based on the sole fact its the first competitive SUV the division has ever had!

Unlike the Grand Am nameplate dissappearing, the decision to call this the Torrent does not surprise me

 

If there was not Nox, it would be a very attractive SUV, and worlds better then Aztek. But the problem I have with it...omg, I have a problem with a GM vehicle...is that the "performance" edge isnt there.
I hope they retune the suspension, and perhaps come up with a 3.5 or 3.9 version down the road.
Pontiac had a real chance to go after the Murano, and I think they dropped the ball.

 

It will have a retuned suspension to go along with Pontiacs "crisp" handling. I'm thinking that means we will get the Vue Red Lines suspension upgrades stock on the Torrent.

 

That thing looks EXACTLY like an Equinox except for the grill. I hope it gets some hardware upgrades because that's just lame. BTW, even the 3.4L has some good zip to it, but the 3.5L would have been much better. WHy does Saturn get a better engine than the Chevy?
