very interesting. looks like we may get the 6 sp auto with the GP and Impy/MC since they are combining it with the 5.3L v8.

forgive my ignorance, but I thought the Buick branch of the tree was being cut off? Even last week someone had mentioned it.

Eh? Buick going away? Yeah...not with that 3.8 Billion dollar infusion they just got.
Anyone who says that Buick is going away is either ill-informed, or dreaming.

Buick isn't going anywhere. It should be, but it isn't.

Buick has the highest brand loyalty of all GM's brands. Buick isn't our cup of tea, but it most certainly shouldn't be whacked.

BTW: If anyone is wondering why Saturn is still around, despite having Chevrolet sell essentially the same car is because Saturn brings in buyers who would have otherwise bought Japaneese and buyers who value dealer service over the car itself.

Marketing. A strange concept.

I understand exactly why GM is moving Saturn upscale, and under the circumstances, it's a good move. Makes more sense than putting it in the same market as Chevrolet.

Re: 2006 Buick Lucerne Spy Pics

why is Buick getting rid of Bonneville again? oh that's right, typical GM. it's because they got the car right and it's actually selling now with the GXP.

sarcasm.

but seriously, is the whole platform Bonny is on going away or something?

Buick getting rid of Bonnie? That would he bard....since the Bonnie is under Pontiac's control.
And Pontiac is getting rid of the Bonnie because ther are better things in the future...such as RWD/AWD...as God intended.

Re: 2006 Buick Lucerne Spy Pics

well thats interesting. i dont know about 'loyalty' but i have bought an olds (buicks twin in my opinion) for $2000 that was only a few years old...fully loaded. Although waiting for the possible camaro, corvette, or a small awd sedan, in the back of my mind i do have the possiblity of buying a cadi with a big block...with s/c 'ed intentions
those s/c'ed v6's are pretty nice as well (i'm assuming the bonneville has them also, since the grand prix does)

who knows what the future holds
