Leopard camouflage seems to be popular on Ford mules lately.

i can tell you that i have personally see the next stang and it is pretty much bad a**. here is a link of the exact interior that is going into production. http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/conc...s/interior.htm
sad to say, but ford is gonna sell too many of them, even if it is too retro or not. the exterior is also just like the cad image that has been on the web before, all the camoflage doesn't do the car justice. now, if chevy would just take a sec and
of all the sales they are missing out of, maybe well have something soon

I think they might sell alot at 1st, but it'll wear off quick because of the complete retroness of the car, happens everytime. All Chevrolet has to do is introduce a nice looking Camaro that has cues blended with new looks and is done right (designations, models, power, handling, braking, quality, price, etc.) and that would be it for the "new" M*stang.

I'm not feeling that interior at all either. It is too cold and uninviting. The exterior seems to be way toned down from the concept. It looks very tall and stubby. The fender flares are very minimal and the side scoop is almost non-existant. I also see that the Mustang retained the enormous ***-end.
I like the whole retro thing going on, now everything isn't all round and swoopy, the car that best symbolizes how crappy all the flowing lines is the Taurus from a few years back, that hideous oval back window.
I don't see anything wrong with that interior at all. I'm sure black will be available in place of the brown, and it is surely a mock up anyways.
As for whether a Mustang will survive the retro-styling phenomenon, I would not be concerned. The Mustang is a bit of an anomaly in itself (you know, being successful when there is no market for such a car
). The car seems to sell regardless and Ford has a handle on how to keep it fresh when things do start to go stale.
And a successful Mustang can only bode well for a Camaro return. Until then, it's GO FORD!

I think the new Stang is going to be a lot less muscular than the concept car and is going to look rather weenie.
Imagine the concept car, sans some of the muscular cues, with a taller, more normal mustang ride height and smaller wheels tires. The stance of the car in those images is almost goofy looking, particularly from the rear. Its going to be quite a bit taller than the concept.

IMHO, this will be the best Mustang generation since 69-70 and it will be easy for ford to take this design forward over time. Even with something as minor as a new front end, it could be made to look modern/futuristic. Ford is also very in tune with Mustang owners, so they should be able to sustain things. If anything gets us a new Camaro, it's going to be wearing a running horse on the front. Once these things start hitting the magazines and pushing the "SS" models off the front cover, that long elusive "business case" will probably emerge.

BTW, the prototype pictured here is believed to be a base V6 car.
Even though I relly despise the retro look, I doubt that it will be a flop. But I am also thinking that the success of the Mustang may have little to do with the production of a Camaro. It seems that the Camaro is at a stage that is decently on its way and by the time the "new" Mustang comes out and the level of success can be determined, the Camaro will be at a point where it is already approved. So, if GM waits to see how the Mustang does, it will be a very long time until we see a Camaro and i doubt very much that they would sit on there *** and just wait for the Mustang to rack up sales.
On a separate note, it seems to me that a lot got watered down from the show car to the production model. Some people stated that the car will be almost identical to what the show car is but looking at the test mule seems to speak to the contrary. Of course this is not the undisguised production model, but I really don't see too many similarities with the spy pics and the concept............ weather that is good or bad, we will have to see.
