2005 GT next to 2004 GT

40th Anniversary in Nashville

Some old Shelby's in there too. Great thing about these pics is that they're in sunlight. The guy took some great shots of the 2005 and 2004 front ends next to each other. A couple of Ford GT pics in there too.

That V6 Stang looks like crap. I don't like that color or those rims.

I live in the middle of it!. There's mustangs all over town. I have my club's cruise-in Saturday and we may put together a caravan over to the Mustang festivities...I dunno.

Last night on the news they had a segment on the show...they interviewed a guy who basically said this:

"The Mustang started the pony car genre, and the other manufacturers all had their entries into the segment, but the MUSTANG IS THE ONLY ONE STILL BEING PRODUCED."

Direct slap in the face to GM, and the reason the chevy coupe must be named Camaro is because anything less will be seen as a permanent raising of the white flag by GM and ceeding this market to Mustang. Doesn't matter if the coupe really is a pony car, w/o the name it won't have the impact.

Another yokel from upstate NY also was caught saying "Its easy to be a Chevy fan, its hard to be a Ford fan." WTF does that mean? I guess we all have our perceived crosses to bear, LOL.

I know people those in denial will throw virtual tomatos at me, but I honest to God did not realize for a moment that they switched cars on me as I was scrolling down the list from the lime green Shelby to the lime green 05...

Great pics!

That isn't a framed door window on the Mustang, is it?

That is funny, I thought the same thing. If the order was different, it might have changed things. The current GT looks much more aggresive and the difference between the 05' V6 and GT is so minimal. Oh well, what are ya gonna do..............

I just can't get excited about the looks of the new Stang. I like the current one more.

I love posting these pics in here. The reactions are amusing. How can anyone bash a person for confusing a GTO for a Grand Prix and then think the 1967 Shelby Mustang looks like the 2005 V6 Mustang They're worlds apart, just as many here can easily tell the difference between a GTO and a Grand Prix. Some people only see what they want to see. I'm not slamming anyone, so don't get your panties in a knot. It's just amusing to me.

The car will grow on me, I didnt like the 99 when it came out and now I like it a lot. The hood on the GT seem a little boring not a fake scoope or anything. The front clip reminds me of a Lincoln LS, even the stance of the car reminds me of the LS.

No. In that one pic the window is rolled down about 1 inch. It just looks framed.

I'm really thinking about going, since it's not even 20 miles from me. And it's only $5 to get in. (The F-body gathering was free. )

Edit: I may drive the El Camino so I'll be easier to spot if any other board members are there.
