Question

Jason, wasn't the Grand Am Gm's best selling car for many years till everyone suddenly "discovered" Impala (even though Impala's been out for about 5 or 6 years already)?

I don't know...doesn't quite have the impact of the G6 to me.
Me neither... kind of seems like they took the G6 concept and crossbred it with a Dodge Neon...

Exactomondo...

At least the G6 was cool, this looks like the Malibu to me.

It almost looks to me that the GM people who camo'd the car tried to make it look like a Neon.

Funny, def. looks more like Chrysler Sebring. I'll have a different opinion when camo is removed.

Indeed it was...it flopped back and forth with the Cavalier as GM's best selling car. Aleros ate into sales big time starting in '99 (who the HELL wanted an Achieva????), and so did small SUV sales. I sold a slew of Aleros to former Grand Am owners. At last count, I think '02 MY sales were around 150-175,000...I may be off though.

Hardly #s that spell out a name change...one could argue GM's best seller (Cavvy) shouldn't be changed for the same reason. BUT...Cavvy screams cheap and dated...Grand Am does not.

The quad coupe is a cool idea, but it shouldn't replace the 2 door.

First they kill the Firebird/TA, they the Grand Prix coupe and now the Grand Am coupe is gone. Why does Pontiac hate coupes all of a sudden? The large array of array of coupes was one reason why I always considered pontiac sportier than any other division.

At least the new GTO is not 4 door.

I don;t think it's just Pontiac, I think it's GM and the whole autoworld in general.

With the sporty-ness of sedans, more people are chosing them over coupes. Unfortunately I'm not ready to give into the Sedan, and my choices are getting smaller by the year
