I don't know...doesn't quite have the impact of the G6 to me.

That rear quarter is not bulging, it's inflated! It's like a section of a sphere.

I just hope that whole rear end is camo...

I can easily see the G6 in this prototype...... I can also see the Neon in it's rear design.

When I saw the back end, I instantly thought Neon tail lights, but on closer inspection, I saw that part of the tail lights are camoed and I can totally see the G6 tail lights there. They won't look like Neon ones when the camo is removed. I also like the flaring of the fenders. I think it will be really nice, especially the high performance model.

Looks like the current (ugly) GA tail light behind the camo.

are all coupes going to this quad coupe design. I don;t like it because of the lines on the car. if i wanted better access to the rear, i would get a sedan. it would be better to have the quad coupe as an option, but that would probably be too expecive to build

That's a regular four-door sedan.

i know the photo is of a sedan, but it said in the article that the coupe will have 4 doors, 2 of which will be quarter size, much like the ION.

What a horribly twisted idea.

Hey, to each their own...call my body cladding gaudy if you'd like (not bad in black though), but of all the Grand Ams I sold, never once did anyone complain about the back end....

I think it looks damn good...too bad they want to throw away major model recognition with the Grand Am name. There is nothing wrong with it. I had a lot of GA repeat buyers when I sold cars. Grand Am and Grand Prix had nice rings to them, one over the other...this is one of the few stupid things Lutz has dictated...

You throw away a brand name that doesn't work, not one that does...

Granted, it sells. I just don't think the tail lights are the reason it sells. I don't think a nicer, subtler tail light will impact sales negatively. It's just that I'm not a big fan of the whole bug-eye look out back.

I wasn't implying tailights sold the car, just saying from a former salesman/owner standpoint, the rear looks good in most opinions

My sales comment had to do with the Grand Am name itself...

I think it is awesome looking....especially compared to the Accord, Camry, Taurus, or even Malibu.

The Neon rear argument is dumb since some of the taillights are cammoed.

I'd really like to know how much of that is true. I mean did those repeat GA customers come back because they liked the GA, or was is beacuse they liked Pontiac and the GA just so happened to be the size car they wanted. Granted there might have been a few but I believe that when the name is changed, if those GA customers were happy, they will trade it in on a G6.

Is it me, or does the back end portrait a different character than the front?
