2003 camaro SS
2003 camaro SS
Is there such a thing as a 2003 camaro SS. I cant fine anywhere on the net that has them for sale of pictures of them. I am interested in buying one in the near future because I heard great things about the 2003 SS.
I think this might be the the 2003 Camaro he is talking about

No 2003's were sold to the public, but this was a 2003 Concept

That is probably the car he is talking about, but that's not a 2003. GM had a 99 (I think) Z28, and a 00 (I think) Trans-Am, just sitting in the lot. So they decided to build the (2) one off's. But it is not a 2003 by a long shot.
Heard that from Scott himself during F-Body Gathering 7 in Atlanta.
A rumor started at the show (NOT BY SCOTT, HE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS BEING SAID), is that this was an exercise and showed us possible details of the 5th gen styling. Just a rumor, just passing it on. It probably isn't fact.

More a show car than a concept car. The Sunoco Camaro and the Trans Am were built for the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise.
For a while they were also seeing if there was enough interest in the body kit to make it available.

I hope not! Beyong the few improvements it still looked like an LS1 Camaro, but the Trans Am was all together different. (see the front)

poSSum, I thought they were calling it a concept? just like how the SEMA cars are just moddiflied production cars but they still call them concepts.

Camaro production ended August 2, 2002.
The Ste. Therese factory was soon after taken apart.
The next to last one (a red SS) was auctioned off by GM for $71,500.
The actual last one sits in the Corvette Meusem in Bowling Green Kentucky.
To put it bluntly: There are no 2003 Camaros.
Period

It's referred to as the 2003 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
