I liked it until I saw the front and rear.

But I agree with number77 too. Changing names isnt enough to shake from Ford and GM past. They need unique and dynamic cars more than a fresh name.

Good from afar, but far from good. Front clip needs help. And the engine? Only 400 hp? In a tank like that it will need 475-500.

The 300C SRT-8 only has 425 and it's pretty damn quick for what it is. 400 horses wouldn't be bad.

It looks like the older silverado front end.

Fords have always been over-designed. Bill Mitchell even said it once after he retired. Also said Ford used to pile on too much chrome, and never knew when to lift the pencil.

Even Fords of the past tended to be abit gaudy. It's just that they looked good & were stylish. They almost always sold extremely well, but they also tended to look old fast. Good examples at the 70s Gran Torino & Mustang II, the '67 Mustang the mid 60s Galaxies, even the 50s Crown Vics all were overstyled compared to what everyone else was doing.

IMO the Interceptor takes Ford back to an era when they were stylish. Overdesigned, but still very stylish.

ONLY 400 horsepower?!!!!!!!!!

My God! What's up with people today?

Have we all gotten to a point where people don't have any concept or appreciation of horsepower???? 500 horsepower!!!!! A frigging 2 ton Charger has 425 horsepower and it will edge out an LS1 F-body till aerodynamics takes over!!

Even the medium-sized-building-with-wheels Cadillac Escalade that weighs 5500 pounds does 0-60 under 6 and a half seconds...... with just 400 horsepower!

GUYS......... we REALLY need a horsepower reality check!

I agree. They really ought to keep things reasonable or you all know what will happen. I personally don't want the govt stepping in and limiting hp or insane insurance rates.

Leave the high hp for the high performance cars or cars that are 40-50k plus...\

I would like it, but I think the consequences of mainstream hp levels going up will hurt things and add more legislation down the road...

But I dunno???

AMEN brother! Preach it!

It takes gas to make that power, whether you use it or not, and just how often do you really use it on the road?

This trend has got to stop.

Rather than spending research $ to develop more HP in a warrantied package, I'd MUCH rather see the companies working on making 200 hp get 50mpg and put it in a safe car that weighs 2800-3000 lbs for the same price.

A.k.a. engines with a "mod-friendly" design... for those who want more as it goes out the door...
