1st look, 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
With the exception of the headlights
I like it from the C-piller forward. It looks like they ran out of money for the design aft of the C-piller though
Maybe its the color, but it looks very farm implementish. Who picked John Deer Green for that thing anyway?

I don't think it looks that bad. Head lamps look a bit odd. The profile reminds me of the previous gen Range Rover. Looks alot better than the new Durango. Lets hope they finally get a decent and reliable tranny.

Really just looks like an awkward freshening to me.
The last few D/C SUV's have become questionable in their looks (Durango, now this)...

This looks like new fenders and glass to me.
I'm sure we have new radio ***** and a reshaped steering wheel inside too.
Different seat coverings and the like.
No problem with a freshening like that, but why make it LESS appealing to the eye?
I keep mistaking the new Durango for wrecked mini vans when they are coming straight at me on the road.
It's like a big chrome grill... with a little truck attached to it.
I liked the Grand Cherokee as-was. This ne thing will have to grow on me.

I just keep coming back to the word "awkward" when talking about Durango.

They need to focus more about bringing the hemi as an available option, improving the interior, and improving the reliability.

As ugly and bulky as the last one.
I prefered styling of the smaller, somewhat boxier iteration from a few years back that looked both more rugged and more functional (and weighed less).

i could have bought a 99+(WJ), but i liked how Jeep focused on the 5.9L package that made my 98 unique, and special...now mabey if they made the 2005(WK) with a hemi package
the head lights show a lot of MB influence. its as if the designers (probably zee germanz) thought, "oh, I wonder what this thing would look like with MB headlights? ah, what the hell, lets find out!"
