It looks like a cross between the classy/luxurious looking current gen, with the boxier styling of the previous gen.
Definitely not a step up.
They need to focus more about bringing the hemi as an available option, improving the interior, and improving the reliability.

As ugly and bulky as the last one.
I prefered styling of the smaller, somewhat boxier iteration from a few years back that looked both more rugged and more functional (and weighed less).

I'm begining to think there are 2 separate design groups at Chrysler. One that did the Magnum, the 300, the Pacifica, and the Crossfire, while a totally different group with a somewhat awkward sense of style has done the Durango, Dakota, the Liberty, and now the Grand Cherokee.
While the former group's styling has all the makings of being IMO neo-classics in the future, the latter group (though no where near Aztec-ugly) really has me stumped.
They don't actually look good at all, but they aren't anywhere near horrid either.

Ehh...I'm not sure what I think. I don't think it's that bad, but I have a feeling lighter colors may change my mind.
I must disagree with the person who originally posted the pictures on the other forum, that is nowhere near as ugly as Bangel's designs.
Overall, I don't think it's and improvement at all.
