Well, here's to hoping it looks better in the flesh. It's not horrible (even the Audi grille is less pronounced than I thought it was going to be), but it's a step in the wrong direction. I'm disappointed to see the continued watering down of the A&S theme on almost every new model since the first CTS.
Specific details:
- The overwrought Audi grille looks like it's trying too hard to be something else
- The headlights are too busy, and much of the inside details seem superfluous.
- I miss the creases along the side of the body. The rear door really looks Mercedes-like to me
- The taillights are way too slender. They remind me of a Lincoln for some reason, though I can't recall which one. In fact the whole back end just seems kind of blah.
- It doesn't seem like there's a back bumper, though it just may be the angles. If not, that won't make production.
- It's hard to tell what the stance will be like from the first picture since the front suspension seems compressed for some reason.
