I for one would be sad to see the 427 go. That engine size has such great history with Chevy and Corvette....I'd love to see them skip the supercharger and work on getting even more monsterous power levels out of the LS7. Nothing quite like bragging rights when you can do it N/A.

 

A supercharged engine would be great an all, but I kind of agree with you.

I see good times in the home of the bowtie in the next few years, a 475 Base, with 650HP SC vette would make me dance naked in the tech centers parking lot.. Period

I say keep the LS2, save the LS3 for teh Z51, and the LS9...well, thats just downright insane!! I would assume that the LS9 "prototype" was the supercharged engine in the STS SAE car?
