Mind-numbingly bad. Just...wow...I dont get it. I can't stop saying how bad it is. Really...very, very bad. Nice, classy interior, but the front end is just incredibly awful.

I like it. It's different, creative, and original.

 

The Escalade looks really nice to me. The Navigator... oh wow.

The lead navigator designer obviously looked down at his BBQ grill one day and got an idea.

And about the interior, while it doesn't look as bad, they're carrying the 'box' theme a bit too far. OK, way too far. It was kinda cool in a 'different' way in the previous gen... kinda had a clean/crisp modern 'edge' look to it. Now it just looks like it's trying to immitate the 1980s rolls royce look albeit with some fake aluminum trim.

 

I think the interior is just horrible, I think they messed the whole vehicle up with the new design.

 

The Escalade, at the very least, is sleek and modern looking.

This Navigator is just....wow. Visually appalling. Did they forget to do consumer clinics?

 

Oh my . The Caddy camp is probably flooding Lincolns mailbox with thank you cards . That is damn near repulsive and the guages look like they were lifted from a 70's Lincoln dash , take that back ....if Lincoln had a SUV in the 70's that entire interior would fit right in .

 

Wow, that's bad. I honestly thought my fiurst impression was bad 1960's show car.

It seems Lincoln was pretty upset with Infinity's big SUV winning the 'ugliest thing on the road' award. Doesn't appear Ford's sales slide is going to reverse itself.

 

Yeah, when I saw that earlier, I just couldn't believe it. Lincoln is in real trouble. The Navigator was the sole vehicle that showed promise for the brand and now I think it is gone. That interior..........it has no continuity and looks like it is made of 300 different materials. I can't believe they F'ed it up so bad. The Escalade will reign supreme.

 

Wow, Escalade is really going to blow that thing out of the water, inside and out.

Why? I was never a Navigator fan, but I also never thought they were altogether ugly.... This no longer holds true.

p.s. I especially dislike the tailights, wrap around and ugly.. don't like them on the Zephyr, oops I mean MKS.....

 

All I can say is

 

My feelings are much like Threxx's comments.

I like the new Escalade a LOT. In addition, I also happen to like the new Expedition (I made a thread about it last week). But the front of this new Lincoln is just flat out bad.

As for the interior, I admit that it does look pretty rich, but I've been concerned on a lot of new Lincolns that they are carrying this rectangular/retro dash shape a little far. So far it hasn't been too bad, but I don't think I like the round speedo/tach inside square housings in this particular iteration. Other than that I actually think the dash looks pretty good, but it is definitely retro strong.

The grille is a deal breaker though. I bet LOTS of these things show up with custom bling grilles that look much more tasteful (!) than that.

The overall shape/look is fine, though. And even with that gross grille, it still manages to be less ugly than the QX56 version of the Pathfinder Armada.
