'05 SSR 6.0L Times

The lastest issue of GMHTP has a test of the '05 SSR. They weren't able to take it to the track themselves so they quoted Chevy's times. But they are planning on taking it to Englishtown first chance they get.

4-speed auto:

0 to 60: 5.49 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.95

6-speed manual:

0 to 60: 5.29
1/4 mile: 13.83

It should be able to pull some mid 13s after break-in. Hopefully sales pick up some in the coming spring months. I think the 6-speed 400hp SSR would be a fun ride.

Good to see it deliver some respectable times. However, I don't think many people buy this truck for its performance. They buy it because it's a toy, and unfortunately making it a quicker toy won't draw in many more buyers.

4760lb curb weight!

That's why a 4500 lb LS2 Trailblazer SS will be able to do mid/high 13's!!

That's also why a 4200lb car with more HP, torque, and better gearing can do low 13's @ 108 !!!!! (SRT-8)

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. TrailBlazer SS will be blowing away 94-'04 Mustang GTs and just about keeping with LS1 GTO's & Camaros

I drove the LS2 SSR right after C6 at Autoshow In Motion a couple of months ago and was quite impressed with it.

WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS CRAP!?
The thing only weighs ~1100lbs more than an LT1 Fbody, but makes 120hp more, and more torque.

Can you tell me how 120hp doesn't make up for 1100lbs!?!?

If you can't tell me, then you shouldn't be posting the crap above!

Ok so you don't think that it will pick up .2-.3 tenths of a second after the engine gets broken in. Hell its probably capable of that right now with the right driver.

Re: '05 SSR 6.0L Times

lets see..........'05 GTO does low 13's with 400hp and approx 3800lbs and a 4700 car is gonna do mid 13's????Sorry,I may not be a rocket scientist green, but that is too far fetched for me.
