There was the occassional freak that would run a 13.7, however the norm for even a real good driver was 13.8-13.9. Most people would never get out of the 14's.

The quickest pre-05 GT that I ever saw published or heard of was an MM&FF test in late 2001 of a brand new 2002 GT. It went 13.7 @ ~100 mph on a stellar day. Saw it with my own two beady little eyes.

havent older GTs run mid 13s?
Think the best I heard was 13.6-7's....think what makes it more amazing is that motor trend did it...so in real life I guess that equates to low 13's...I love this car....soon as I get this pos suv paid off Ill seriously be considering one of these...depending on what the 05 GTO runs

Not saying I doubt it, but what mag and when did this happen?
Ude-lose/cm_ls1 posted it on LS2.com...but I haven't seen the article, and I thought the '05 went 13.3 in C&D.

The GT comparisons to the GTO are making me laugh.
Similiarly, the $34k Cobra vs. $45k-$54k C5/Z06 comparisons also make me laugh.
