I understand that the 2 seater concepts are just showcar trial balloons. The production cars will in fact be 2+2.

I also agree the coupe looks better than the vert... but I generally think that of all cars.

The front end just makes me cringe... I still can't say I am a fan of this design at all...

Still looks like a Mustang Frankenstein.

Question Hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmm......

You really think they will keep that HUGE b-pillar blind spot?? The real car will probably have the opera windows though.....

I got a little excited when I thought Ford had really dropped the gauntlet and gave up the rear seats (can't use 'em no-how)....and is really chasing the Corvette......hp, IRS, hhhhhmmmmmmmmmm??!!

I predict that over 1/2 of the current f-body owners will think long and hard about this car.

I still think Ford has painted themselves into a retro corner here, but it ain't a bad looking car.........

Looks like a Delorean raped one of those new Caddy sedans and this is the offspring

I can't decide whether I like it or not, but I do know that I am getting sick of the rounded bubble-*** look all these new cars are comming out with

Ok. That's it. I'm going down to the Ford dealer to reserve a place in line for a 2005 Mustang.

Yes, this is only a concept, but they're going in the right direction. It looks closer to production than any GM concept except the G6. And it doesn't have a frigging TV screen in it, like so many other new crap cars do.

If it sucks, I know I can still sell my place in line.

And for everyone who says they hate retro, what would you rather have--this, or another slant-eyed, flush-mounted, pointy-nosed generic GTO/Civic/Altima ripoff?

I guess I like it.

I don't like the side profile.

It looks much too bloated. The side profile needs to be more sleek. The way it looks now is too BMW-ish. Kinda like a rectangle with wheels and a bubble-like top.

all the criticism for this coupe is undue, except for the rear tail lights. those have to be fixed.

otherwise, looks just right. looks muscular, lean, powerful, at the top of its form.

dig it.

The taillights on the production version are very different & much better looking than the concept (think orginal taillights w/ a modern twist). The whole production model looks a bit larger & better looking.

If you think of the concepts as a rough draft, you probally get the drift of what the actual version looks like.

Aight then Guion. You seem to know something about a certain upcoming Auto Show too, we'll have to see how right you are with your assumptions.
