I'm hearing a rumor that the 04 z06 will have a special package, there will be more colors offered, special interior and a 450HP engine package.

Is this true? Is this the big surprise that will become public knowledge at the Chicago show?

 

Since 2004 is the last year for the C5, I fully expect there to be a Collector Edition, and possibly something else along the lines of the 96 Grand Sport....

 

i saw i corvette, with the newer body style the other day, it was painted with a blue stripe and had the two red slash-marks, they haven't made a newer version of the grand-sport have they?, this one looked like it had the stock exhaust tips which made me think it was just painted this way, does anyone know if they have made a grand-sport?

 

They didn't, that guy must have done all the paint himself.

you know how everyone was saying that the gto's rumoured 360 & 400hp hp wouldnt happen because of the vettes power, well i think the gto just got some breathing space....

If it is a major difference in the engine it will be really freeking cool. Maybe an early introduction to the GEN IV SBC!!!! It will be just in time for my 02 ZO6 special package... Forged rods pistons and a D1SC with 15 lns. of boost.

 

Will the base Vette be getting a power upgrade??

 

Hard to imagine a 350HP vette and a 450HP vette with nothing inbetween and a GTO on the 350HP's heels. I'm guessing [blindly] that the 350 gets upped to 380, give or take.

 

pretty sweet i've been waiting to see Gm make the Z06 a real viper competitor maybe this one will be it
