I have so DSL so I'll be right back to post the links of the pics I took fool. I did'nt have time but now I'll make time to show up an ignorant person such as yaself. After you click on the link, dont apologize.... just think before you speak, it's a sure sign that you dont know nothin about racing or people. Reviews from a website? you got to be joking. Do you think I would take the time to write a fake review? Dang you must be young.

And while on the subject "lil buddy" Name a car that came factory sounding better than the GTO (oh forgot you have'nt driven it yet). Better yet name a car that sounded better than the 350 crossfire Iroc (which I've driven two). Let me do it for you!!!!

1) trucks dont count
2) vettes nor factory SS's came with anything louder than a turbo, unless from SLP (I had a LS1 3 inch Borla on my Z).
3)thats it!!! unless you want to go all the way old school and say the 1978 Trams Am with the 455 in it. Ya see I'm older than you think young buck. Remember less talk an more listen grasshopper, you might not sound so dumb when you speak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new GTO's design is weak. It looks like a mix between a cavalier and a grand prix. It is also made in australia and based off a Holden design. The only thing its got going for it is performance and the fact that it is rwd. Overall for the price looks, and value, i wouldnt touch it. And i must say, there are alot of tards and toddlers in this forum.

I dont see how the GTO is any more bland than the 90s Impala SS or the Taurus SHO, both of which sold well, you cant drive around the block in southern IL without seeing a Impala SS.

The new GTO also fits perfectly with the original GTO's If a comfy well built car that comfortably seats your entire family while blowing stangs and many other cars off the road is "boring" or "bland" to you then dont buy it... I personally think its a pretty damn good idea and as we're already seeing, pontiac will sell every one they build.

Even the original GTO had a borrowed look too. As far as weak, I wouldn't say that, it still looks good, I think. Nothing in this world is original anymore. Everything was inspired, or borrowed from something else...music, movies, and cars.

I CANNOT believe all of the haters on this site!
The GTO is a RWD V8. Get over it. You bitched when the f-bod went away about no affordable rwd v8 cars, so they bring one back and all you do is whine. I'll get you some cheese. And all of the comaprisons are ridiculous. There are very few people here that are old enough to remember the "real" GTO, so as far as how it doesn't stay with tradition, STFU.
No, the GTO WILL NOT outpace the vette. Why would GM shoot themselves in the foot and do something stupid like that? Yes, it's Australian, but go here: www.holden.com, and here www.hsv.com.au and see why GM made the decision that they did. If you look carefully, you will see a Commodore with an LS1 AND all-wheel-drive. Keep in mind that this is on the same platform as the Monaro and GTO. GM had their poop in a group when they decided on this platform. Hopefully we can see great things happen with it.
I DON'T care for GM to sell an Imp SS and Monte SS for MORE money than an '04 Cobra will cost me.
Keep in mind that GM is TRYING to get the attention of the sports/musclecar fanatics and I feel that they are doing the right thing to get there.

Stangkilla, there was NEVER an Iroc that came with crossfire infection...er injection. You're either thinking of Tuned Port injection or... well there is no "or" in this case. They were either TPI or TBI... and a few carbed.... But Crossfire injection only lasted until the 1983 model year IIRC. Irocs made their debut in 1985.

Now where are them links?

Yea your right but I hate when dudes "try me". As much as I race and am into every aspect of any type car, I take offense to stuff like that. Thanks for given me a reality check, I really dont have to prove anything (even though I am still posting pics, it's the principle of the thing) But I take cars very seriously, and especially my driving. But your right and the flaming wont start with me.

BTW the GTO body style is probably based on something else but like was said earlier by chevycobb. What has'nt been borrowed from something or someone else. Do we even want to talk about music or car mods? Carbon Fiber= F1 racers, Alltezzas=Japan,Blues and R&B= Elvis (dont get me started on that one). But change is good and new ideas are good. I know you guys did'nt expect the new GTO to look like the old one? I would never sell and thats GM's main goal in order to stay in business.

I'm going to skip all the crap in the middle by the haters.

Good solid review on the lineup, I probibly feel the same, the cars you listed would be my top pick to drive (Silverado ss, Montecarlo SS, SSR, Vette, GTO, Colorado)

I'm seriously going to buy one once I'm done with school, this car fits the bill.

If I can leave this board they'll be up lol. But the board is hot right now. I never thought this thread would be so heated. Controversy builds car sales!!!

About the Crossfire, about 8 years ago my neighbor (right next door) bought two of them. They were real Irocs, both 86's and the crossfire was in both and on the badging was under the hood. But I just checked the build numbers and you were right. Which leads me to believe the prviuos owner had them both installed at the factory before they drove them home. I hate my nieghbor sold one and totalled the other (in the rain

Last time i checked the GTO is NOT affordable. Next, GM is globalizing for a reason, but yet Ford is doing prefectly fine with their RWD V8 lineup here in the states. GM isnt trying to attention, they lost it in 1996 and 2002, they are trying to see where they can make the most money and if it means switching to RWD again, they will do it. I would much rather drive a Mustang then their new wimpala or money carlo. Screw them. Until they can come out with a nice looking RWD V8 car that the average man can afford, they can make a corvette XUV for all i care.
