Somehow, I thought it would be more than that.

Might want to go to GM's media site, and tabulate the numbers from there.

As a result, the 1st month GTO was on sale (December, 2003) just 79 were sold.

Yeah, just goes to show how stupid some people are. Most people said the '04s were slow and needed real looking dual exhaust, and hood scoops. Well, the General added 50hp, bigger brakes, hood scoops, split dual exhaust and everyone still isn't happy. I for one love these cars!

Hey....that matches exactly what Tony said above.

His numbers match GM's figures (I checked with GM's media site).
21,420 total GTO deliveries as of close of July.
There still seem to be around 2,000 2004 GTOs out there unaccounted for, which is not unexpected. Collectively, GM dealers were still selling brand new 2002 Camaros as recently as a year and a half ago.
Strangely, 2000 cars from the previous year unsold around this time in the year isn't really alot of left overs.
BTW: For all you "You can't sell RWD cars in the Northeast" crowd, I'll have you know that California is GTO's second biggest market...... behind Michigan!
1357 '04 GTOs found their way to Michigan while the Golden State gobbled up 1099.
When I get a chance, I'll take a peek at the area breakdown of the Chrysler LX cars.
