$35,995 for the 425hp Charger SRT-8!

I'm not surprised at the pricing. Everyone (including DaimlerCX) knows the liabilities of the new Charger, some of which have already been mentioned here (poor MPG, etc), and of course there are the disappointing looks of the car. Ugh. That came-from-a-truck grille... flat, soulfree sides, kangaroo hip quarters... yep I'd say the price is about right

I'm just trying to picture, say, a Chevelle from Chevrolet with 4 doors and room for 5, weighing a smidge under 4,000 pounds, with the LS2 and T56 combination....at a "Chevy price"....yeah I know it's vaporware and Chrysler actually has the goods but I can't help but think that someone, somewhere can execute the concept even better....

killer price, killer HP output.
with that said, my 2004 ram that decided to blow a motor then a trans while pulling Sea-Doo's (Seperate occasions) has now put an offical "will not ever buy" stamp on all DCX automobiles for me this life time.

From where I stand, that's was sort of pricetag that the Cadillac CTS-V should have carried.

Sure.
Do I believe that GM can offer a Camaro with an IRS and a performance flagship drivetrain (a real Z28) for under $30K?
No way!
The best we can hope for is a late, overpriced and mediocre Mustang-clone.

The big question for GM fans is whether a $52K CTS-V offers the same value as a $36K Charger SRT-8? Not a chance. The Cadillac had too many drivetrains bugs, too little space and too little refinement. How does a $75K Cadillac STS-V compare to a $42k Chrysler 300C SRT-8? Not very well. Even leaving aside the issue of performance, the Chrysler is far more spacious and comfortable that the cramped STS.
