$20k-$25k for SKY

The guys at the Solstice/Sky forum are saying the Sky will cost more than the Solstice. Some where in the $20k-$25K price range. They say its because there are standard features on the Sky that are only options on the Solstice. What do you guys think?

More evidence that GM is trying to move Saturn above Pontiac in the hierarchy....

Still great pricing, though.

Lutz just said the Solstice will come in at under $20K and the Sky will be slightly more than the Solstice, but not much more.

My guess is that the Sky will just have more standard features but basically cost the same.

Re: $20k-$25k for SKY

i thought I read at autoweek that the Sky would be more expensive

The Sky "will be a little over that," he says, "but not much."

I was under the impression it would be 5K over....

They got their information from the press release. It will come in at under $25k. GM's fooling themselves if they think Kappa is a limited production architecture.

Chassis-wise they are pretty much the same. Yes, the Solstice has IRS. I would start buying Hondas if they gave it a solid axle, just on principle.

Im guessing between $21,995-$22,995 for the base price of the Sky

Hot damn this is a nice car. It looks GREAT. Best design I've seen out of GM in a long, long time. They gave it the 170hp Ecotec too, so it's nice that they didn't wimp out on that. 170hp is good for an n/a 4 banger. What's the weight looking like? RWD, 50/50 weight distro, available LSD....I'm pretty sure GM will get the handling right on this car too. This thing is awesome. Funny that after all this hype on the Solstice, the Saturn is looking more exciting.

If they come out with a coupe version of one of these, I'll be all over it like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm.
