Bumpsteer is a change in steering direction as a result of a bump. Basically as your suspension travels up and down, your toe setting changes. So when you hit a bump, the wheel will point slightly differently, and you'll get a bit of steering input (ie, car will want to go a different direction) during that bump. Different suspension setups have more or less bump steer, and of course you'd like your car engineered to have as little bump steer as possible. It's my (unvalidated) understanding that 4-th gen f-bodies don't have much bump steer.

I've found the bump steer tie ends, theres a brief discription@ RK sport, suspension or steering for your car make/model.
I too have considered them after foaming and frying my PS system.I THINK I'LL WAIT FOR A MORE EDUCATED,advise w/ you.
I thought it would eleviate some of the pressure being exerted on the wheels/System.While mashing the speed bearms,on the turns?Sypherical bearing tie rod end

Well, I'm not too much of a twisty road guy myself. I find things out as I go, like most. This is just one of those things I've never found a need for, ~yet.

Thanks for the info though Dave!

Even the straight-line only racers should be concerned about bumpsteer. Front wheels that develop substantial toe as the nose rises under acceleration are only hurting the ET's and mph's. Might not be much, but every 0.001 counts.

the bumb-streer kits I've seen have cheeseco (cheap) ends. I've seen several used ones on ebay, you can get good rod ends (teflon lined) for $40 a pair. They help a lowered car more than a stock ride hieght.
