What's left for suspension?
I have the following either installed or on the way for my '98 Z.Is there anything else I can do for traction at the track and a little better handling on the street. Also will the LCA's help my 60' times?
-STB
-Sub-frames
-LCA's
-Panhard Rod
-Poly Tranny Mount
Other than the above parts, the car is stock.Do I really need different swaybars and shocks?Again,I am looking for more traction at the track instead of handling. But I do want some handling increases also.Thanks.

You have a lot left to do..
I would look at a set of the Global West CTA-32D upper a-arms; these are lighter and stronger than the factory arms, come with Del-A-Lum bushings installed, produce a better camber curve, and allow for more positive camber.
Also look into a set of SP7 spherical bearings for the lower a-arms. The stock bushings shred over time. The bearings elimintate ALL the play in your lower a-arms.
While these items will not really help you at the dragstrip, they will greatly improve the handling abilities of the car for less than $1K

Ugh how could I miss this...
If you want to improve your off the line traction, nothing will do more than an aftermarket torque-arm.
The factory torque arm has the mount too far foreward in the car. Motion of the car is spent moving the body, rather than planting the tires.
A couple of aftermarket torque arms (VSE, Global West, Sphoon, LG Motorsports) move the pivot point of the arm rearward. This changes the suspension geometry, and plants the tires much harder under acceleration.
Its expensive (~$530) and its the single best thing you can do to help traction

those HAL ( are theyc alled soemting else now?) adjustable shocks got good reviews for dragstrip/street - which sounds what you are looking for. I heard they are not ideal for autox and roadracing, but fit the bill nicely for dragstrip and street driving. That, and an airbag in the bag to keep the weight transfer even at launch, plus sticky tires for the track would probably be the best thing. You could set the shocks for weight transfer at launch and pump the airbag up.. then for the street you set the shocks up tight again and take out the air in the airbag..
Umm, i believe if you get LCA relocation brakets and hvae your LCA's angle down inot the axle, your body would plant the rear axle down into the ground at launch.. I think doing that would greatly increase roll oversteer though?
I've heard the auto guys raving about the benifits of higher stall tq coverts.. how high and how loose you want it, is a whole other debate though.

In my humble (and very experianced) opinion, BMR products are all garbage. They are designed to look like hi-performance products, but are generally constructed very poorly.
I would stay with LG Motorsports, or Global West.
Remember, if the torque arm does not relocate the pivot point, than you are wasting your money.

Makes reasoning of some of your other posts in this forum that hasn't made much sense to me until now.

I'm not selling anything nor promoting any vendors. No offence intended to anybody....
But I can tell you some of the parts BMR sells are complete crap. Some they sell are very good.
Some of the parts GW sells are complete crap. Some are very good.
And yes, I can give technical explanations or even complete Engineering evaluations to back up those statements. Some here might be interested in such discussions.
But I guess we aren't allowed to discuss such things? BMR is a sponsor so everything they sell must be golden?
God forbid, what if the makers of The Tornado! became sponsors? We couldn't discuss the lack of merit of that product like I did here over four years ago? That famous discussion probably saved a bunch of people their money by keeping them from buying worthless crap. I guess advertising dollars is more important now?
On the subject of banner adds, can't you guys at least set some sort of minimum bandwidth requirements for them? The offender of the week this week seems to be comming from www.rcm.amazon.com. I go to www.camaroz28.com but the page doesn't load because it's stalled at 10% of 9K from rcm.amazon.com. The board loads more slowly now with DSL than it used to in the old days with my 56K. And no, it isn't my computer as it behaves the same at work as well.

I'm closing this thread now because it seems to have been ruined now. To the original starter of the topic, I apologize. Feel free to re-start your topic and i'll be sure to keep out further rants and un-authorized businesses from trying to leach on to you
