Question tires rubbing on semi hard turns

Recently installed springs and an adjustable pan hard rod on my Z28.

I took a few turns at 25-30 mph today and it sounds like my tires are rubbing. It's coming from the rear. It happens when turning in both directions, doesn't happen at lower speeds.

Could it be because I don't have relocation brackets on yet? They are going on this weekend along with some LCAs. I don't think that would be the source of the problem though.

^^^ That was my post in LS1 tech, got 1 reply saying to check the phr. I already did that and it's adjusted properely and it hasn't come lose. Tires are 245/50/16 all around. You guys helped me out before, hoping it will happen again.

Have you actually checked to see if/where they're rubbing? It's pretty hard to imagine a 245 tire rubbing unless either the wheels really have the wrong backspace, or the panhard is adjusted off. Are these the stock wheels?

They are goodyear eagle F1s on stock 16" rims. Yeah, hard to imagine.

It's definatly a rubbing sound. I have not been able to locate where the rubbing took place. I said tires because what the world would rub on turns?

I rechecked the phr. According to BMR's instructions, mine is aligned perfectly. I checked underneath and it's not loose either.

Pull the tires and see, I had rubbing on my car with 255s on the rear when it was lowered. Under a hard corner taken a bit quickly it would litterally skip sideways as it would hit the inner fender.

My PHB seems to be a bit off as well. I lowered the rear 1" (DMS spring set) and added an adj PHB. I had the alignment shop adjust it to set the thrust angle as well as all other geometry. When I take right handers too hard the Driver's rear tires rubs the inner fender. There seems to be a little lump there that I'm gonna have to remove with a 3 lb sledge. But I think I'll just adjust it back out until it doesn't rub. I think it's mostly due to sidewall flex in the tires though because it looks like there should be enough room there. My autocross tires don't rub, so I'm not too overly motivated to screw up the alignment ot beat on the wheel wells.

Your LCA's and relo brackets shouldn't make any difference.
