Tires

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good street tire? I was thinking along the lines of the g-force kd(kinda expensive) or yokohama avs sport both of which would be 275/40/17's. Some suggestions would be great!

I am happy with my Kumho's. They work well and are much less than the Goodrich tires. Almost bought the Goodrich myself but alot of people seem to be happy with Kumho's both on and off the track.

AVS ES100

I am also in the market for a good set of tires. There is a ton of information on tire racks site, lots of reviews and tests. You may want to check out the new Yokohama AVS ES100, it seems to have favorable reviews and is only a couple bucks more than the Kumho 712. I'm sure tempted to try a set.

don't rule out the firestone firehawk SZ50's they are phenominal tires. unbeleivable dry traction and in heavy rain they perform flawlessly...

The Yok ES100's are on backorder (at least in 245/50-16), looks like the end of the month at best. I just ordered a set of Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP in 255/50-ZR16 for my chrome salad shooters. Somebody on this board had them in 245's on the 16x8 salad shooter rims and mentioned that they wished they had gone with the 255's. It appears Firestones are narrower than most in the same size. I hope these are worth the extra coin. My next purchase will be some nice shocks, Bilstein HD's most likely.
