Teflon tape on brake bleeder screws?
I'm swapping my brake fluid to ATE Super Blue and will be using a vaccuum pump. Is it safe to use teflon tape on the bleeder screw threads to get a better seal?

If you are using the original cast iron front calipers, then it is safe to use 1 layer of Teflon tape. The rear calipers are aluminum; I wouldn't use tape on them or you might crack them. If you are trying to avoid the "micro bubbles" that are sucked past the bleed screw threads, you might get the OEM bleed screw caps. I have found that the plastic retaining collar (that goes below the shoulder of the bleed screw) for the cap almost eliminates the air bubbles if you don't open the screw more than 1/4 turn.

Yeah I'm trying to avoid the micro-bubbles. Thanks for the tips Bob!
