Post Ride height after springs installed

I just had my front Hal's installed. i had Hals in the back as well as SLP springs.

The springs were out of the car for about 2 weeks.

Now it is all buttoned up, the ridfe height is different. Firstly I should point out that the HAL springs atre set so that the car is a little lowere then with the Bilsteins and SLP springs.

Here is the question. The rear of the car is noticeably higher and the passenger side is 1/2 inch higher then the driver side.

Will the car just need time to "settle"? Have the springs expnded agin with the time out of the car. Is there ANY reason why one side should be higher then the other?

I would make sure of the following......

Assure that rubber isolator is sitting on top of both coil springs. Make sure the top of the coil spring/isolator is properly seated in the perch on the top side. Check that the isolator and spring have the correct orientation. If you had the spring and isolator out of the car you should be able to turn the isolator clock wise till it hits the cut end of the spring this orientation should be kept the same upon installation or you could end up with a difference in height. The orientation/clocking in reference how they sit on the axles could cause a difference side to side height. Make sure the bottom of the springs (pig tail) is pointed in the same direction for both springs. Having one pointing toward 3 o'clock and the other at 9 o'clock could make a difference.

That's about all I can think of that might be causing the issue.

Once you've done all that, I'd be interested to hear the measurements from the floor to the cut end at the bottom of each rear spring is. I'm starting to wonder if this is a standard thing. BTW, on my KTRE the right side is about 1/4-1/2" higher.

Thanks guys

I checked things some more.

The Right rear is 1 cm higher then the Left rear.

The right FRONT is 1 cm higher then the left front.

Finally, the right rear tire is at 15 LBS versus 40LBS for the other tire.

I will get the pressures the same. The I will adjust the front Hal's to get the same ride height. I will then report back here my findings. A friend did the install so I'm not sure about the other issues brought up but he is an experienced guy.

Another question. If the front end is lowered with the Hal's, that does not suggest that the rear ride height goes up I assume.

Having re-read my initial post I will then go and get typing lessons.

Make sure that your front spring is indexed to the factory rubber spacer.

Also make sure that all of your adjustments are done with the swaybars unbolted. I have problems with swaybar preload, which skewed the car's ride-height to one side or the other in the past.

15 and 40 PSI for rear tires??? Was that on purpose?

Not only the difference, but 15 is way low and 40 IMO is way high!

No not on purpose.

I must have a leak in one of the tires. Alough someone stole the chrome dust caps and perhaps they maliciously let air out.

However, I was told to run 40's in the Michelin Pilot Sports. 315's in the rear.

I would be curious to hear people opinions on the tire pressure though.
