Pro Kit and Stock struts?
I have the Pro Kit on my Trans Am so this isn't a direct comparison to your V6 car. When I installed the springs I upgrade to Koni SA's up front but my rear shock hadn't come in yet. I ran the stock rear shocks for a week before I installed a set of Bilstein HD's. I couldn't believe the difference the Bilstein's made in ride quality and handling. If you are going to upgrade the springs I would recommend that you upgrade shocks/struts at the same time.
Similar experience here, bought my car which already had 1.75f/1.5r lowering springs on the stock deCarbons which rode like very sloppy.
Put some Bilstein HDs in last week and can't believe the difference, the ride is considerably tighter and at least in my opinion is'nt too harsh riding.

Good shocks will give you a much more controlled ride, the shocks will remove the harshness and smooth it out more. I third everyone. Get some GOOD shocks. Now's the time to do it.
But size wise, the Pro's will work.
