Power Steering Cooler

So I noticed power steering fluid in my coolant and my ps has been needing to be topped off frequently. I am assuming it is the ps cooler, that is on the upper radiator hose (the metal tube between the two rubber hoses). I have read the one I have now is crap and its best not to replace it with the same thing. I do not use my car for anything other than daily driver, rarely do I push it hard (I admit I have my moments). So my question is, if I choose to completely delete the ps cooler, what do I do with the hoses coming from the power steering pump? Im trying to keep it cheap, just replaced a fair amount of stuff plus I need other work done. Thanks for any advice.
