Poll Tires again

Cant make up mind. just tell if you can rate,or know
But The BFGs G-force TA/KDW $114 per I'm almost convinced,$538 installed.
The Sumitomo HTRZ looks good.lota rubber to contact road, little cheaper out the door.
Peolple say good about the Kumho 711 & 712.

712s same $$ as the Sumitomo $89 per
711 dramaticly cheaper overall.look alright $60 per

street/open track use,all tires 245/50/16s

what would you get??

Re: Poll Tires again

The previous owner of my car said he put 40k on the car and its still got the same BFG TA KDW that came on the car. They're pretty bald now, however.

I don't understand why you want to put such cheap tires on your car. You bothered to upgrade most of the car, why water down its performance with some cheap tires. I think they are one of the most important mods to your car. A nice set of tires will improve acceleration, braking, cornering

Re: Poll Tires again

Did you get the KD's or the KDW's?

ecsta supra 712's are a nice inexpensive tire, but don't as much grip as the much more expensive brand.. good in the wet though.

I'm really digging my Kumho MX's though.. They gripped fantastic on my last opentrack day, and were nice and progressive.. Even my instructor commented how nice the car handled and responded...

Tires I had before were the stock 16" goodyears.. then I got 17" ss takeoffs with the man, I can't remember now what was stock on them. just left my mind.. then I got the 712's.. and now the MX's..

When this set wears down, I may try another brand, just to experiment...

Re: Poll Tires again

I've got tons of suspension and brake mods on my daily driven autocross car and I use the cheap 315 Sumitomo's on it for the street. Save your money for good track or autocross tires. You won't really notice the difference in performance on the street (and if you do, you're driving to fast for the street).

fuzion zri are great tires for the money, nearly as good as the most expensive.

Thumbs up Re: Poll Tires again

I had a set of 712 they were only skinny 245s but I still think they were the best tires I have had on my car.

Re: Poll Tires again

Love my nitto r2s on the front and drags on the back but they pick up rocks everywhere on the street. Probaly won't be running them again after they wear out. They have held up well after one event and several thousand miles on the street.

Re: Poll Tires again

I tried Khumo's Ecsta's once, great price and good looking tire, wear was ok but traction was poor compared to other tires I've used.

I just ordered my Kumo V710's for auto-x. I'm looking forward to NOT sliding my car all over the place
