Arrow Next Mod...

Hey guys, I don't auto cross nor do I road race, however, I do enjoy corner-carving Hawai'ian roads. I have subframe connectors, BMR LCA's, relocation brackets, and I was wondering what should be my next upgrade. I will be upgrading to a Plus 1 sometime in the near future and I'll probably be getting the Nitto 555's. So for now, do I go panhard rod, torque arm, sway bars, springs/shocks/struts? Please help. BTW, I have 64,000 miles on the car. Thanks a lot fellas.

How many miles do you put on it a year? I use Toyo RA-1s. They are a DOT race compound, and if you are doing regular driving you can get 15k miles out of them, and they run about $180 or so each. They are going to be much better than any street tire for grip and they do work well in the rain (which is important where you are they are one of the better R tires for rain actually). People will complain saying they aren't the best R compound, but the 'best' R tires run less than 1/2 a season of autocrossing and thats just using them at the events (not on the street). I leave mine on and its a great improvement. Nitto I believe it made by Toyo, so if you can buy one there you should be able to get the other. I've had mine on for about 6 months and I can see some wear (its worn down to where they shave them for racing). So I'll get at least halfway to next year unless I do some roadracing events.

Absolutely without a doubt go with springs/shocks (we don't have struts on 4th gen F bodies). I've heard a lot of good things about the Lou Gigliotti G2 springs and I'd pair them with a set of Bilsteins valved for the springs by Sam Strano. Your car will be transformed.

After that, I'd go for tires. As auto-xer mentions Toyo RA1 tires are a good compromise tire for the street and so are the Nitto 555 RII. I use the Nitto as a rain tire and a tire to drive to open track events when I don't want to bother changing tires when I get there. They work pretty well for that, and for street use they are great. The ride is good, no road noise, and they work great in the rain. The tread compound appears to be very similar to their drag radial also.

If you don't get a quick reply on the LG G2 springs, try posting a new topic with a descriptive header and some of the users of these springs will chime in more quickly.
