Not to be rude, but if someone on here were interested or experienced in the subject of manual vs. hyd. steering then they would've answered with informative information. Besides, you don't want people replying just for the sake of replying...give it some time and maybe someone will reply with useful information.

I wish I could answer your question, but I can't contribute anything useful. But hey, at least you got a reply.

thanks for the reply, I am just frustrated I really think there needs to be a sticky about cams, headers, and cai that compares them. That way question other than those that are asked every five minutes can be answered.

Be nice now. I looked for this questioin in the Autocross and Roadracing forum but didn't find it. I thought LT1 Tech was engine related, but maybe not. Anyway, here goes...

My opinion on manual vs power steering in an F-car for auto-x:

With any manual rack I'm familiar with you either won't be strong enough to turn the car as fast as it needs to be turned, or there will be so many turns of the steering wheel required that it you'll be all "A**holes and Elbows" (to borrow an old flying bromide) trying to keep up. Or as D. Waltrip is fond of saying, "You'll get behind in your steering." Power steering, or hydraulic as you described it, is almost a requirement. Why would you not use power?

My $.02.
