So what's involved in rebuilding the caliper. If I go with the ls1 route, I'm gonna do it myself. Like most things i do, I just wing it for the most part. Can I use the caliper without rebuilding it?

Take some time to read this about converters... I use a Vig 2600 and love it.

Okay, I've decide to try better pads for now, since i don't really track my car. Just autocrosses here and there. I had a chance to inspect the brake lines while I was doing my shocks, they seem to be in good condition. Are stainless steel line really worth it? When I grabbed the line and squeeze it, it is pretty firm, not soft and mushy.

SS brake lines help with pedal feel but won't make you stop faster. Try the pads first along with flushing your brake system with some good brake fluid. I used Valvoline SynPower fluid, it has a very good wet and dry boiling point and exceeds DOT 3 & 4 specs.

It's been a couple of years now, but I think it was right around 200$. He was very good to deal with. I discovered one of the spindles was bent after I had the whole setup installed. Phoned him up and he sent out a new one straight away. NC for shipping. No whining or bitching.

Like I said, I paid right around 200 for my setup, and I got nearly new pads, rotors etc (BG said they only had something like 6k miles on them). I bolted everything up turned the rotors and I've been driving it for over 2 years now. Used the lt1 brake hoses no problems.
Very early on, next year, the pads and rotors will be finished, particularly after I start into lapping much more often. In fact, I wouldn't go to a lapping event with what's left of the brakes because I wouldn't get a good morning out of them
