Help: I have a problem fitting 17x9 ZR1s on the rear.

These are chrome OEM ZR1's. The fronts fit fine. The rear don't fit. Turns out the center won't fit onto the rotor. The diameter of the rotor is a little bigger than the center of the rim. I was thinking of machining the rim but then I though I could just get some LS1 rotors. I have a 1993 Z28, so maybe it's just a freak first year thing. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing before? Any advice? The rims came off a 2000 Camaro SS.

Just make the hole bigger,I used a file- a die grinder would be quicker.

I've heard about that before. It's an issue specific to 93s. LS1 rotors are not interchangeable with LT1 rotors. Clearance the wheel to fit.

Actually its issue specific to 93-97 models I got a set of Chrome OEM ZR1s off a 99 SS and I had to file the rears down just a little to get them to fit.

You can do it, just grind a little around the wheel where it contacts the circular part of the hub. The wheel is pretty soft and that's why it's so easy

I had the same problem when putting 2000 T/A twisties on my '96 T/A. Five minutes and a dremel and we were fine. I've never had a problem with either of the two sets of ZR1's (copies) that I currently use.
