GUys with BMR K-members and A-arms, Help please

posted in the LT1 tech, no replies tho

story....
Installed BMR lt1 k-member on my car and also their lower A-arms.
Went to get it aligned and they could not get it to spec.
the MAX caster they got was +3.8 (gm spec is +4.8??)
the MIN camber they could get was -1.5 (gm is more like -0.5??)

I was there for maybe 3 hours with the align tech and they couldn't get it. I think it has to do with the extra adjustment on the back spherical tie-rod jiont.
I am going to pul the bolts and screw these in out or out(then go get it realigned), but i have no idea how much

Could someone please look under there car and tell me how many threads are showing and also were the bolts are in there adjustments??

for example i have 5-6 threads showing, and on my drivers side the front adjment is maxed to the outside and the back is 3/4 to the outside.

go here fo pics... http://www.netsnapshot.com/pcw/buil...=4&ACCOUNT=4850

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

P.s. if the make any difference, i have pro-kit and bilstiens

I had a similar problem. I got LG Front lower A-Arms and GW upper A-Arms. When they aligned it, I ended up with -1.5 camber, 7.0 caster. It took them forever because the LG arms are spherical and they need to be disconnected to be adjusted. So, on the alignment rack, take a reading, remove it from the alignment rack, raise it on a lift, undo all the connections, guess and put a few turns in, reconnect everything, back to the alignment rack... etc. Most expensive alignment I'll ever pay for, and its not even where I wanted it to be, but it turns SO WELL now that Im not going to complain. Got a friend that drives a Cooper S at Nationals and he drove my car at an autocross and couldn't believe how easy/responsive it was (like a small/light car).

Hope someone can help you out here...
Good Luck!

How is the tire wear and PS pump? i have heard lots of caster is good, but stains the PS pump...

My car is being aligned again now....they were messing with it for like 4 hours now there taking a break. but they did get 5.7 out of the caster. i should call them and tell them to leave it there then
