GM Suspension part numbers

I am trying to order some parts locally and the guy at the dealer is a little slow to understand what I need. So I'll just order from him by numbers.
I need the part numbers for a 93 Z28 to:
1LE rear sway bar
1LE Springs
1LE Shocks
1LE Powersteering cooler
B4C Trans Cooler

Even a link w/ that would point me in the right direction would be a great help.
Thanks in advance.

try 1LE.net

What kind of trans do you have? Likely don't need a trans cooler for a 6 spd

Aftermarket PS cooler works fine

There are different 1LE parts depending on the year, either DeCarbon shocks or Koni Doubles, the sway bars have changed, the rear spring changed, etc

Unless you have a "deal" going with the dealer, that stuff is going to get real pricey.

I'd suggest used (from lo mi car) 1LE Springs, revalved Bilsteins (try Stranoparts) or Koni SA's, used 1LE bars and new ES Bushings/Endlinks. You might also check into some discounting dealers like Dal or Scoogin-Dickey for GM parts.

Of course, you never said what you were going to be doing with the car, and if you'd be racing under rules, I'd suggest following them instead. In the club I belong to, the 1LE models are classed differently that stock models.

One other comment...

If you are talking to a dealer, shouldn't they KNOW the part numbers? The dealers that stock and sell performance parts know them off by heart. Better to buy from people that know what they are selling. Its a lot less painful.

I'm buying it locally because I'm getting a very good deal.

The car I'm running is an automatic so I need the trans cooler. I'm going to the NASATX school in feb. at TWS so I needed these things.

My car already has enough mods that I can't run in any classes at autoX and be competitive. I have a lot of fun, but I'm running street modified.

Well, if thats what you're doing with it, I'd humbly suggest you go with stiffer than 1LE front springs for road course use. I have the 1LE's on my 98, and 500 or 600 # springs would be what I'd put in if I were you, not 360. With 1LE springs up front, you'd never believe how bad you'll be nosediving under braking. They will work great with the Koni's. The 1LE shocks were at one point Koni DA's.

I hope your front brakes have been upgraded. That'd be critical.

I just got done swapping on z06 front brakes and ls1 rears. The car dives very hard when I brake. It unsettles the rear 75% of the time, I'm hoping that suspension will cure that.

Some unscrupulous distributors periodically run specials at or near their cost or shop our prices and undercut them by a few dollars to temporarily claim the "lowest prices". In these cases, if you provide us with the CONTACT NAME AND PHONE NUMBER to confirm availability, we are happy to match or beat the price. Most of these companies are not direct with the manufacturers and will take your money but can't afford to deliver it in a timely fashion. If there is ever a delay in our delivery, we will connect you directly to the manufacturer to confirm availability dates.

Good old Shox.com..... First off, their prices are good, can't argue with that. However there are many of us out there that are more than competitive with them. But, we can also offer advice that they cannot. Basically, price is not the bottom line (or shouldn't be). Knowledge should be.

And the "unscrupulous" thing is a riot. THEY are the ones who always try and undercut everyone. Also, they've tried to "borrow" revalving numbers I have speced for my stuff (at least that's what Bilstein told me).

Long story short, there are many people you can by from. But only so many can give you real, useable, based in fact knowledge.
