Question Differences in styles of subframes??

What's the difference between the double-diamond style subframe connectors and the style that BMR sells?

Which is better?

Thanks!

BMR are tubular and have no cross connect, I figure if your going to get a cage someday then boxed subframes are probably not neccessary or as neccessary/benefitial.

If you AutoX any subframe will probably move you around, and boxed even higher than tubular.

The double diamonds attach to the middle of the floorpan as well as the sides, distributing the load over a wider area. Whether that is worth the cost and the weight is something no one can prove, one way or another.

What I meant was DD design, but also boxed tubing like BMR offers can maybe throw you in a class up over tubular, I have thier tubular FWIW and I am happy with them.

If you autoX there are rules about what modifications are legal and in what class they are legal lest you be outplaced into another.

i have BMR boxed.. they just are straight bars, tieing the front to the back.. make excellent jack points.

In my mind, they work.
