Chromoly SFCs?
It's really a dumb application for Chromoly. The whole purpose of SFC's is to stiffen your chassis. The lighter Chromoly SFC's will be less stiff than the mild steel versions.
Waste of money. If you want SFC's, get mild steel.

Is chrome moly less stiffer than mild steel? I thought you could use thicker walled tubing on the chrome moly members and keep the same weight if not less, and have the SFC's be stiffer and stronger.
Chrome moly is not significantly lighter or stiffer than regular ("mild") steel. _If properly welded and heat treated after welding_ it has substantially more tensile strength than mild steel. That's why it's often used on pure race cars. But...
"It's really a dumb application for Chromoly." There's a lot of truth to this. Since most of the loads on sfcs are bending loads, Cr-Mo tubing doesn't have any real advantages. In a proper application of Cr-Mo tubing the part is designed so that the loads are tension or compression loads.
Even more important, if the assembly is not heat treated after welding Cr-Mo tubing is not much stronger than mild steel. Some people are paying a lot for hype. If the Cr-Mo tubing is thin walled to save weight, but the assembly is not heat treated, the parts are likely to be a bit weaker than stock. The stock parts are so overdesigned people can get away with this.
