Angry car leaning to the right, help!

greetings guys. ive got a problem. my car is leaning to one side the right. took it 2 a shop and they showed me that it was the strut thats bad. ive lost bout an inch on the entire passenger side. the springs are still good but it seems that the shocks in the front seem to have dropped. i still have the stock suspension all around. what i need 2 know should i go with the same stock set up or go with an aftermarket set. ive got a 97 ss convt with 18' rims. thanx.

Well, the stock setup is cheaper, you may even be able to get take-off shocks very cheap from SLP or others. Better shocks are, ah, better, and will cost more. Not sure what your question really is. If you want an upgrade for performance, then yes, good shocks are a great improvement.

hey im just trying 2 figure out what exactly it is that i need 2 replace. if i lost bout an inch in ride height im assuming i need new springs, but i dont want 2 lower my car so i think im gonna go with the stock springs. i dont believe if i lost gas pressure in my shocks that would b the bause of losing my ride height? i think thats right..... wjht do u think? thanx

Okay.... Your springs are what sets the right height of your car, but your shocks are also applying upwards pressure on the car as well. I can't tell you if a failed shock will drop the car an inch - I thought you said that's what your mechanic determined.

Assuming you're just replacing the stock parts, I think I'd replace both if SLP has the take-offs. They should be cheap.
