Post Camcorder Mount in Stock 4th Gen Interior

Have any of you ever installed a camcorder mount in a stock 4th gen interior (i.e. no roll bar)? I wouldn't mind being able to watch autocross runs after-the-fact to see where I am messing up.

I am considering doing this and I was interested in seing how someone may have done this.

Thanks.

What you need is this:

Then you could use this camera mount:

And you can use a harness for AX.

Thanks. So, it looks like this setup will cost about the same as a Koni double-adjustable strut... I guess I'll have to wait to get the camera stuff. Suspension is more important than this.

Cool

In my old car, I used to bungee cord the camcorder to the passenger headrest, no problems. Here is what happened when I tried it with my new-to-me Camaro Z28:

Could it be the Z28 accelerates a bit faster than the old 4 cylinder car?

I haven't given up on the concept yet. I'm thinking of making a foam box for the camcorder that I bungee to the passenger seat.

For some crazy reason, when I click on the link in my last message it doesn't work, but does if I cut and paste it into my browser Address window.

Yeah, I was wondering if there wasn't some way to jury rig something. The problem is that there is not a separate piece on the headrests in these cars - it's all one piece.

There are some camera mounts that stick to the windshield on the inside that would work.

I don't think IO Port Racing carries them, but I have seen before.

I have the IOPort camera mount on an autopower 'race' rollbar. It seems a bit too far forward, but there are still a dozen different ways to mount it I haven't tried yet. Here are some links, but most of these cameras need a source to record to. I was going to yank out my fog lights and place a waterproof wideangle buttle camera there and run the wires through the firewall so I have my choice of angles to record from (nose or rollbar).
