Brake/knuckle mod?

Ok, simple question here. If I was to cut off the "ears" off of my spindle for a brake mod, how would I return my car back to stock or does this not affect anything. I'm not planning on selling the car, I just don't like doing "permament" mods.

1. save all the original brake parts you took off, and
2. buy another set of steering knuckles (spindles) and replace them on the car.

If you do a Z06 brake conversion, to me, that would be a GM upgrade. IMO

Good point. At this point, should I replace anything? Hubs, ball joints?I have under 45k miles on the car. Can't say easy miles as it sees plenty of time on the Autobahn.

... if anything up front, just the wheel bearings (hubs). with the wheel and tire off the ground, try to rock it, top and bottom, to see if there is any play.

any play and you'll want to replace them.
