Brake Fluid Change - help please

I have a question regarding my 99 Z28.

When purging/bleeding the brake fluid do you need a scanner?

A book I am reading refers to you needing a Tech 1 or T-100 scan tool. But the book refers to traction control as TCS, I thought it was called ASR!!!!

So do I need the scan tool to change the brake fluid???

BRAKE BLEEDING

Not positivily sure, but I would try it myself before forking over the bucks. Make sure that yo dont run the res low on fluid, and start with the abs modulator, then go around the car like normal, then end with the abs mod. if that doesnt work, then I aould consider the $$ for a scan tool.

I used Wilwood brake fluid when I did my car.

I purchased a Mity Vac pump from auto zone for about $20. They have adapters to connect the pump to your bleader screws. It helps to have an additional person to add fluid to the MC while you pump the fluid out the bleeder screws. Works well. Takes about an hour or so.
