Best streetable tires for stock wheels?
What are the grippiest possible tires I could put on my stock wheels for daily driving? I'm not looking for slicks or DOT racers, but rather a really good tire that I could daily drive in rain.
Right now I'm thinking of BFG Gforce sports, simply because they are the only tire I can find that comes in 255/50/16. Whats better than that?

Maybe a little late for your question, but I was in a C5 Z06 on a race track, and it was running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's ..... I nearly **** myself just how much grip that thing had ..................... in the RAIN!!!!!
They're damn expensive, but I think worth every penny! Although I couldn't afford them last year, so I cheaped out and bought a set of Hankook K104's, and they've been working exceptionally well on the street, and even on the race track . Did I mention, they're pretty cheap?

the tire size difference betwenn 245 and 255 is going to practically nothing what so ever. You are also looking a tires that will work well in the rain.
What is going to give you the best dry traction is going to suck for the rain. The tire isnt going to be designed for wet traction. So if you looking at something that will provide both wet and dry traction your going to take a serious hit in you dry performance.
This is the difference between bfg kd's and kdw's. The w provides decent wet traction, where as kd's would do nothing except slip and slide.
