If you're stock stay in stock class for now. Your better bet is to switch to a 35mm sway bar, which you can do in stock class. The only springs you could use without getting bumped up a class are 1LE.

There is a link to another thread in the above thread that lists my autocross setup. That setup is identical to the 2002 ProSolo National Champion's setup (Strano). I'd say if you're on a budget and don't have alot of time to fool with the car, do the front bar and the brake pads...

First, you have to run stock springs to run in F-stock. You could, in theory, use 1LE springs, but you have to convert the car completely over to a 1LE, which means if you have say t-tops isn't something you can do. Plus you'd have to legally change all the different parts, like bushings and such.

I don't know what the budget is or anything, or even how serious you are, but you'll be glad to know there are only 3 things needed to setup a 4th gen that is able to win a National Championship. Swaybar, tires, shocks. EVERYTHING else is just icing on the cake, unless you have a Auburn differential which wears. And since you have a 98 (I think, sig's gone and can't remember) you might need a new differential......

A bigger front bar is a huge help the car in terms of stability and response. R-compound tires are the single biggest thing you can do for the car in terms of speed, since it's the 4 tires that hold you to the ground. Aside from tires, I'd say the swaybar is A #1 on the list, followed very closely by good rear shocks. The front stocks aren't the best, but are better than the rears so we'd want to fix the biggest issues first. MHO
