Question Anyone have any idea how much heavier solid 35mm swaybar is vs. hollow 35mm?

Just curious if any one knows the weight difference between the Suspension Techniques 35mm front swaybar vs. the hollow SLP 35mm front swaybar. This includes endlinks, bushings and everything neccessary to install. I can't see the difference being any more than 20 pounds. If that's the case, then the extra $350.00 for the hollow bar is definitely not worth it. Anyone?

I'm thinking 20ish pounds is accurate, and yes, for that its not worth it to most of us to spend massive moola, although the Hotchkis is "only" an additional $150 (I forget the price really) or so compared to the SLP $599 bar.

Besides the cost of the bars, I think you're missing something here--their function.

The stabar's function is to add roll stiffness. You need to choose the one that offers the roll stiffness you require. After that, if there is more than one choice available with the required stiffness, choose the lighter one obviously.

This is not the case between these bars. The SLP is much, much lighter. It is also much, much softer. Apples and oranges. How stiff do you need your front bar to be? Answer that first, then worry about weight.

ST bar not only costs less but it's added stiffness over any hollow bar seems to be what the car needs to get close to neutral. In fact I wish I could find a front bar about 5% stiffer! I'm going to try slightly stiffer front springs[stock vs. 1LE].
