Question 1le end links?

Are 1le endlinks the same as the standard links from a 4th gen fbody? Was thinking of buying stiffer endlinks but didn't want to go with polyeurethane ones. Any info would be helpful.

They look (color/shape)and feel(hardness) exactly the same. My conclusion is that they are identical.

I don't think they are, doesn't 1LE use hardre durometer rubber on there parts, stornger then rubber, but not as good as poly.

For the record I have not noticed a huge difference over my stock ride with my 1LEs sway bars and poly bushings, they also do not squick, I greased them pretty throughly beforehand.

MY poly ones over my stock ones the difference looking at them is like night and day, the poly endlinks were abour 5mm thickier, and looked much more quality made.

The bushings are very noticeably of a harder durometer. However, the end links don't appear any different. The color, shape and texture appear exactly the same as the stock ones I took off and for the few months I had them on they wore down a couple centimeters...not good.

Yeah, poly bushings/links are a different animal in shape, hardness, etc.

Its difficult to say just how much the f/r sway bars improved the handling but I put them on the same time I put on the LCAs and all together my car is very tight. However, I need new shocks and tires I think to take full advantage of the current handling. Right now, I may be getting some binding because my rear feels somewhat unstable around turns, almost like my car is toooo tight. The rear seems to cut loose on me a bit more now with the polys on.

The front end links off of my 2001 T/A were identical to the end links on my 1998 Z28 1LE.

Ia m almost 100% sure all 1le has a harder rubber, then stock.

As for hte sways with my poly ushings, made a world of difference course I went form a form a 17mm to a 21mm me bieng a v6, but personally I don't think I will ever sell these bad boys as long as I ma driving 4th gens. These with a STB, made an even bigger difference. I am on wussy, v6 springs with ove 100k on them.

On mine the 1LE endlinks were identical to the stockers in every way.

Wink

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up buying them and they look identical to the stock ones. No biggie, I needed new ones anyway because I broke them when installing the HAL struts.

The z28 or 1le bushing don't last for nothing. At <35k they're done. See my sig the poly replacements.
