I also have 36mm in front and 50mm with 1/4" spacer in the rear. You can see how they fit on mine.

I have looked but all the auctions appear to be 2 17x9.5's and 2 17x11's. Where is the best place to get 17x11's?

AFS doesn't usually have 4 17x11's for sale on eBay, don't really know why. I had to get my 2 36mm offset wheels elsewhere although they have them available, they just didn't have any when I needed them. You can buy direct from them though.

I have the 17x9.5's of these wheels and I weighed them this past weekend. At 21 lbs for the 17x9.5's they aren't bad...

Most of my mods are in my sig. If you have any questions, just make a separate post and I'm sure plenty of people will weigh in.

I've got 17x11s all around with 275s on all corners (going 315 in back as soon as the rubber's gone). You can see pics on my page. The link's in my sig. Any more questions, shoot 'em our way

Ive got 17x11in older design American Racing wheels with 50mm offset all the way around on my Formula. I had to use a small 5/16th spacer on the fronts to clear the calipers. I have 315s on th front, and 335s on the back. For some reason, my rear end has shifted over to the left, and I had to use 1 5/16th spacer on the left rear, and 2 5/16th spacers on the right to get them to fit. As soon as I get an adjustable PHR, Ill be able to split the diffrence and see how much of a spacer I will need. As it sits (just test fitting), the tires tuck in well. They are just about even with the fender. And look GREAT! I did have to beat a little bit on the inside of the wheel well, and cut the bumpstops for my 28x11.5 hoosiers on 15x10 prostars with 7.5in backspacing. So the 335s fit well! Hopefully I will have some pix soon in the next few days after I clean the car up. Anyone want to host them for me?

Kyle

What's rough about your interior? It looks better than mine - I raced my first season with full carpet in the back. I took it out that winter, it was wet - weighed a ton and smelled great too!

Did you race the car this last year? What does it look like now? Got some rubbin' marks yet?

Hasn't anybody tried 36mm offset f/r on a Camaro? Steve uses 36mm in front with no problems, and like many, he uses 50mm in the rear along with a 1/4" spacer.

So a 36mm in the rear will push the wheel out 3/10" from that. So you may need to roll the rear fender a bit more.... Anything else?

Does anybody have hard reasons why the 36mm f/r combo absolutely won't work on a Camaro?

If not, I see no reason why you'd want to use the 50mm for a track car where you don't care if they "look funny." More than an inch gained in track width will increase grip quite a bit...not having to use spacers will make your wheelstuds thank you.

I should add that if the rears stick out slightly farther than fenders, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll contact them under body roll. While the rear doesn't gain negative camber like the front, the roll center being quite a bit lower than the fender sort of amounts to the same thing--during roll the fender moves laterally to the outside of the tire on the side you may have contact. Of course in pure jounce that doesn't happen so if you're running wussy rear springs you'd have to be aware of that.

You could always be the first to try it Jon. It looks good on a Firebird I'm tellin ya.

There seems to be a company out of FLA that sells "OEM" replica ZR1 rims ,(place is known as O.E. Wheel distributors) that look a lot like AFS rims. Are they the same? . Any experience with them?

BTW do AFS rims have a load limit on them?

Maybe I will be. Probably not though, since I've put off the inevitable 11" rims purchase for another year....

Wow... on that last rear-view pic it looks like your front driver-side tire was bottoming out. How does the car feel with the coilovers riding that low?
